The role will be primarily expected to develop and conduct new microsurgical procedures to facilitate the identification of mechanisms underlying lung transplant rejection. You will also be responsible for teaching microsurgical techniques to new staff, graduate students, and postgraduate fellows interested in pursuing research-focused careers. Other duties will include preparing manuscripts based on data generated by these models and helping develop new funding opportunities by assisting with grant proposal development. Finally, you will continue your intravital microscope studies to identify and study inflammatory cell behavior that causes lung transplant injury and rejection.
