The Department of Neurology at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) is seeking an outstanding, full-time Academic Sleep Medicine faculty member (MD or MD/PhD) to join our Adult Sleep Medicine Section at the Instructor level, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a world-renowned academic institution at the forefront of clinical care, education, and research and work with other sleep clinicians and researchers at our multidisciplinary sleep center.
About the Role:
- Clinical focus on outpatient sleep medicine evaluating patients with sleep disorders
- Interpretation of polysomnograms, multiple sleep latency tests, and home sleep apnea tests
- Teach and supervise fellows from our ACGME accredited sleep medicine fellowship and other trainees such as sleep technologists, medical students, and residents
- Participate in educational activities of our sleep center
- Engage in translational and clinical research, with collaborative opportunities across the Department of Neurology and our institution
Our Center:
- The Washington University Multidisciplinary Sleep Medicine Center is a 12-bed, AASM-accredited sleep center
- Our team includes top specialists in neurology, pulmonary, internal medicine, otolaryngology, and psychology
- We offer comprehensive, multidisciplinary approaches to sleep medicine, including a growing sleep surgery program and a behavioral sleep medicine program
Qualifications:
- DO, MD or MD/PhD
- Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Sleep Medicine (any primary specialty)
- Completed an ACGME accredited Sleep Medicine Fellowship
