Assistant Professor - Division of General Surgery, Section of Transplant Surgery

The Division of General Surgery, Section of Transplant Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis invites applications for a full-time faculty position within the division. The surgeon will be primarily based at Barnes Jewish Medical Center. Teaching duties will include teaching residents and oversee the clinical training of doctors.  Will guide the resident doctors in a day to day patient care and explain proper patient care techniques and procedures.  

The successful candidate will need to be board certified and have completed a general surgery residency program and abdominal transplant surgery fellowship with proven leadership skills. 

Involvement with resident and medical student education and the pursuit of scholarly activities is expected. Applicants will need to demonstrate practical interpersonal and communication skills and be committed to ongoing performance improvement. Dedication to enhancing a diverse workforce and academic environment is vital.
