Breast Radiologist (Community)
WashU Medicine Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) is looking for breast radiologists to help advance our clinical mission and support a unified, cross-state regional care model in Missouri and Illinois. The position offers the opportunity to focus on comprehensive breast imaging in a community-based setting while remaining closely integrated with one of the nation’s premier academic radiology departments.
This role is primarily based at Missouri Baptist Medical Center and Christian Hospital in Missouri, with additional breast imaging coverage provided across MIR’s network community hospitals. These include Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital and Progress West Hospital in Missouri, as well as hospitals in Illinois. The position, which includes a courtesy faculty appointment with WashU Medicine, offers a combination of onsite and remote coverage for MIR’s network of community hospitals.
Here are just a few reasons why our clinical division is leading the way in our community:
- Close partnership with our health system, BJC HealthCare, at our community hospital sites and outpatient centers.
- Enterprise Sectra PACS with seamless collaboration, case sharing and in-house consultations within the clinical division and with the academic practice.
- Leading-edge equipment, including Hologic mammography, GE ultrasound, automated breast density software, and AI CAD.
- Opportunity for professional growth, including service line development and expansion, contribution to standardized protocols and quality initiatives, and collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams.
Applicants must be ABR board-certified or board-eligible in diagnostic radiology and have either fellowship training in breast imaging or substantial relevant practice experience. In addition, applicants must be eligible for Missouri and Illinois medical licensure.
MIR is committed to promoting an environment that is inclusive and welcoming to all individuals. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, veteran status, disability or genetic information.
Compensation/Benefits
MIR radiologists, through Washington University Regional Physicians (WURP), receive a competitive compensation and benefits package as well as opportunities for additional income through evening and weekend moonlighting. In addition to health, life and disability coverage, we offer tuition assistance (including dependents) and a generous retirement program. There is also a professional development allowance, competitive time off and full access to a variety of wellness programs.
