Subspecialty Radiologist - WURP
Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine, through Washington University Regional Physicians, is seeking subspecialty radiologists to join our growing community practice in Missouri. These positions are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, both onsite and hybrid available, with clinical opportunities tailored to a candidate’s subspecialty training and professional interests.
Radiologists will primarily practice at Christian Hospital in North St. Louis County, Missouri Baptist Medical Center in West St. Louis County, Missouri. In addition, faculty provide integrated support across the BJC HealthCare East Region hospitals in Missouri, including Progress West Hospital and Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital. This broad network ensures a diverse case mix and exposure to both community practice and advanced imaging needs.
We welcome applicants from all radiology subspecialties. Candidates with training in body imaging, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, breast imaging, cardiothoracic radiology, nuclear medicine, and emergency radiology will find opportunities to focus their expertise in a community practice environment. Our practice structure allows radiologists to maintain subspecialty identity while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple hospitals.
Radiologists in these positions will receive a courtesy faculty appointment at Washington University School of Medicine, with access to professional development resources and educational conferences. Collaboration with MIR’s academic sections provides additional support for complex cases and fosters ongoing clinical and academic growth.
Our hospitals are supported by a unified, state-of-the-art SECTRA PACS system and the EPIC electronic medical record, ensuring efficient workflows and seamless communication across sites. Standardized imaging protocols and quality initiatives are coordinated across the enterprise, reflecting MIR’s leadership in patient safety, quality, and innovation.
We are seeking board-certified or board-eligible radiologists who bring subspecialty expertise, a commitment to clinical excellence, and a collaborative spirit to serve patients across Missouri’s BJC hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subspecialty radiology care in a non-academic setting
- Communicate findings promptly to ordering providers.
- Uphold high quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
- Salary: (commensurate with experience)
- Onsite - $450k - $550k
- Hybrid - $400k - $450k
- Supplemental income: Additional moonlighting opportunities available

- Malpractice: Occurrence-based malpractice and tail coverage provided
