#1011150 Complex Care Consult Provider - Pediatric Academic Medicine

The Division of Academic Pediatrics at Washington University and St Louis Children’s Hospital (SLCH) is seeking a BC/BE pediatrician or internal medicine/pediatrics physician to join our division to provide consultative care to children admitted to St. Louis Children’s Hospital who have significant medical complexity. This position will provide coordination of care for children with medical complexity who see subspecialists at Washington University/St. SLCH and live outside a 100-mile radius of SLCH, including transition from the hospital to their medical home. The patient population includes children and adolescents from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds with a variety of co-morbidities and technology dependencies. Responsibilities include providing consultative care to children and adolescents with medical complexity and communication with their primary care provider. Responsibilities also include participation in ongoing projects to improve our clinical service, including quality improvement initiatives. Board certified/board eligible in General Pediatrics, possess outstanding clinical skills and have experience caring for children and adolescents with complex medical conditions.

Physicians who are interested in caring for non-medically complex children and adolescents, including outpatient sick visits when needed.

Physicians who collaborate well with families and multidisciplinary team members, including nurses, therapists, dietitians and social workers who assist with the care of our patients.
