Clinical responsibilities include care for gynecologic oncology patients in the St. Louis metropolitan area.  As the largest gynecologic oncology program in the Midwest, the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine has a full continuum of services available to treat women with gynecologic malignancies, including cancer of the cervix, endometrium, fallopian tubes, ovaries, uterus, vagina and vulva. Specialists here see over 1500 new gyn oncology cases each year and manage more than 15,000 outpatient visits annually. The team is nationally recognized for its expertise in patient care and research. In 2018, a brand new state of the art operating facility opened in coordination with the new academic and clinical office space.  Surgeries are performed at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a major academic hospital, as well as other community hospital in St. Louis.

Preferred candidates must have a strong commitment to teach medical students, residents and fellows and be ABOG certified or eligible in gynecologic oncology.  The candidate should be able to provide care to patients with complex surgical pathology and be a resource for department and community gynecologic surgeons.  Strong interpersonal skills and interest in clinical research is also essential.
