Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Washington University School of Medicine. The successful candidate will establish an independent research laboratory focused on ovarian biology, biomechanics, aging, and polycystic ovarian syndrome, and will integrate into existing research in uterine function, ion channels and ovarian cancer. The position will be responsible for teaching master’s level courses, which may include the following courses: Human Reproductive Physiology, Advanced Topics in Reproductive Sciences and/or related courses and lectures. The position will be responsible for effectively teaching courses, conducting and overseeing research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, presenting findings, advising students and trainees, and participating in department governance and university service. The position allows for occasional telecommuting within commuting distance of St. Louis, Missouri. The position will supervise the work of other lab researchers and lab personnel. Up to 10% domestic/international travel will be required for scientific conferences and meetings.
A Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in Biological, Biomedical Sciences or closely related field (or foreign equivalent) is required.
