Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology - Pain Center
The WU Pain Center in the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position. Applications from outstanding young investigators with an established or very promising research program in neuroscience with a focus on pain and/or itch are encouraged. The successful candidate will be expected to lead an active extramurally funded research program. Priority will be given to candidates with existing external funding. Teaching opportunities in graduate or medical education are readily available but requirements are minimal, permitting a strong focus on research. Clinical opportunities are also available, depending on qualifications. The successful candidate will also be focused on promoting and supporting a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, including experience bringing an equity lens to issues of race, gender, sexuality, and ability.
Requires MD, PhD, and/or MD/PhD, strong research experience, and demonstrated accomplishments.
