Obstetric Anesthesiologist
The Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University (WUDA) is seeking an Obstetric Anesthesiologist at Missouri Baptist Medical Center(MoBap). Through this exciting opportunity, you will be part of the Division of Obstetric (OB) Anesthesiology at WUDA which comprises a dedicated group of 9 OB Anesthesiology faculty, 4 float faculty, 12 CRNAs, 2 OB Anesthesiology Fellows, and 3 Administrators. In addition to providing care for ~3500 deliveries at the Barnes Jewish Hospital, WUDA provides care for approximately 1750 deliveries at MoBap (50%) and is expanding soon to cover all deliveries at MoBap (~3800). BJH and MoBap are designated Centers of Excellence by the Society for Obstetric Anesthesiology and Perinatology (SOAP).
We are searching for a full-time Obstetric Anesthesiologist to work exclusively at MoBap. A full-time anesthesiologist at MoBap works 90 24-hour shifts. The Anesthesiologist will contribute to the Department’s mission of delivering outstanding healthcare and educating tomorrow’s leaders.WUDA has 175 faculty members and is a national and international leader in diverse areas of research. There are many faculty development opportunities in education, research, patient safety, and administration. The medical center is geographically located in a beautiful setting next to Forest Park, a 1300-acre facility that is one of the largest urban parks in the United States. St. Louis is a livable city with multiple eclectic neighborhoods, a healthy arts environment, a burgeoning foodie scene as well as nationally ranked professional baseball, soccer, and hockey teams.
