The Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (WUSM) is seeking candidates for the role of Associate Program Director for Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology (ACTA) Fellowship to work with one of the top ACTA fellowships in the U.S. We will consider applications from any full-time faculty at the rank of assistant professor or above, at Washington University in St. Louis or another institution.
The ACTA Fellowship is among the top academic programs in the U.S. and our program is comprised of 5 highly-selected fellows. The successful applicant for this prestigious career development opportunity will be an ACTA Fellowship-trained anesthesiologist with a strong commitment to education and with ambitions to be a national leader in postgraduate medical education and training. Additionally, our fellowship training program has close ties to the Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program within the department. They will have the chance to implement wellness, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and mentor our trainees. A tailored mentorship and leadership training program will be implemented for the new Associate Program Director (APD) to promote professional and academic growth. The APD will report to the Fellowship Director and the Vice-Chair for Education.
