Faculty (Full Time): Pediatrics Division -- WUSM Orthopedic Surgery

RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical:
•      This full-time position offers tremendous opportunity for rapid clinical practice growth, clinical and translational research, and participation in our resident and fellow education programs.
•      The successful candidate will play a major role in the development of our expanding clinical practice and will be fully integrated into the academic activities of the department and shoulder division.
•      Washington University School of Medicine and St. Louis Children’s Hospital enjoy strong brand awareness and have a reputation for providing premier clinical care regionally and nationally.
•      The pediatric division at Washington University Orthopedics has a national and international reputation for excellence in care.
•      Our specialists work as a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide array of pediatric conditions — from simple injuries to the most complex deformities.

Academic Instruction:

Academic responsibilities include active participation in, and commitment to, orthopedic fellow and resident education, including:
•      Clinical training and teaching.
•      Participating in conferences, journal clubs and related activities.

Research:

The faculty member will conduct research (clinical, basic science, translational and/or biomechanics), working with researchers within the department and across Washington University School of Medicine. Our research coordinators have a long history of research contribution.

 

 

Required:

All applicants must have completed, or be in the process of completing, a pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship training program with additional sports-focused training. All applicants must be board certified or board eligible,and must be eligible to obtain a permanent Missouri medical license.

A dedication to excellence in patient care and teaching, and an interest in clinical, basic science, translational and/or biomechanics research.
