Research Faculty (full-time), DIAN TU and ADRC
The Department of Neurology at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking an individual with interest and experience in developing mechanisms of risk and resilience to AD and related dementias. Research in cognition and risk factors for AD in the lab and in the DIAN TU Additional responsibilities include project management, personnel supervision, task delegation, decision-making, conflict resolution, effective communication, and data analyses and interpretation. The candidate is expected to work collaboratively with faculty in the ADRC and DIAN TU and with other groups in pursuing research related to ADRD. The candidate will identify new directions for research, formulate research protocols, submit grant applications to obtain funding to support the research, and present and publish the research findings in the appropriate forums. It is expected that the candidate will be (or become) an independent investigator and obtain the resources to develop and lead his/her laboratory. Participation in the Department’s educational mission to the community, students, adult neurology residents, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty is encouraged.
The Knight ADRC is committed to research studies, including ADRD biomarker development that incorporate the population diversity of the greater St. Louis metropolitan area. The Knight ADRC also aims to engage members of groups under-represented in research so that they may contribute to its scientific directions.
