Neurology Movement Disorders Research Instructor

The Section of Movement Disorders in the Department of Neurology is seeking an individual with a PhD in the neurosciences and relevant experience for a full-time research faculty position at the Instructor level in the lab of Joel Perlmutter, M.D., which is part of the Neuroimaging Laboratories Research Center. This position will be working on the development and validation of neuroimaging methods as well as their applications to Movement Disorders. This requires experience with immunohistochemistry, autoradiography and analysis of PET imaging data.  Candidates should have experience working in culturally diverse environments is highly preferred, and successful candidates should possess competencies and demonstrated expertise in multi-cultural settings. The candidate will work closely with students, technicians,  and other faculty in the Perlmutter lab. The candidate will be required to develop and validate new methods for neuroimaging with PET that include human and animal model systems studies and apply these methods for clinical and preclinical research studies. The candidate will be expected to write and help with writing research grants, manuscripts for publication, and research protocols while assisting in identifying new directions for research.
