The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes in the Department of Pediatrics at Washington School of Medicine seeks candidates for a full-time academic position as an Assistant Professor in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and must be board certified or eleigible in Pediatric Endocrinology. We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.

 

Clinical responsibilities include providing outpatient and inpatient pediatric endocrinology consultative services. Teaching responsibilities include participation in the clinical education of fellows, residents and medical students. It is expected  that the applicant attend and participate at scheduled meetings and CME activities by the division. Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical and translational research in areas such as type 2 diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome, type 1 diabetes, cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, hyperinsulinism, neuroendocrine disorders and other endocrine diseases. The successful candidate will be given opportunities, but not limited to,  participate in institutional, departamental or division quality improvement and clinical research/medical education projects.
