Faculty Position, Center for Reproductive Health Sciences (CRepHS)

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Center for Reproductive Health Sciences (CRepHS) invite applications for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (or equivalent). Outstanding individuals working in any area of reproductive biology (ovarian, oocyte, gamete biology, endometrial biology, placental biology, contraception, pelvic floor disorders, sperm biology, onco-fertility, gynecological cancers, parturition, and early development), or in the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of human reproductive tract disease are encouraged to apply.

Application review starts immediately and will continue on a rolling basis. We will offer competitive start-up funding, well-designed laboratory space and access to outstanding core facilities and biorepositories for basic and translational research opportunities.

 

 

The Center for Reproductive Health Sciences was established as a hub for outstanding translational research in reproductive health at Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) under the auspices of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Our mission is to increase and enhance research in reproductive sciences, identify the most critical areas of reproductive health research, and facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations to fill in the knowledge gap. We aim to enhance educational opportunities in reproductive sciences and establish a thriving community of reproductive science researchers at Washington University. Our research is enhanced by a highly collaborative environment within the School of Medicine. The Center is well positioned to undergo substantial growth under new leadership. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology includes over 50 full-time faculty members organized in the following divisions: General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound, Family Planning, Basic Science, and Clinical Research. In 2021, the Department was ranked 8th in NIH funding among all obstetrics and gynecology departments at US medical schools as reported by the Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research. WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE IN ST. Prospective candidates will have a PhD, MD, MD/PhD, DVM or equivalent degree.
