Bone Health Program Physician
The Division of Bone and Mineral Metabolism at Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) is seeking a BC/BE physician with expertise in bone and mineral disorders to join our world-class faculty in providing patient care, resident education and clinical research (if there is an interest). The practice will focus on care of patients with disorders of bone and mineral, metabolism, including osteoporosis, calcium, and phosphorus disorders in an outpatient setting.
This is a flexible, part- or full-time position. We currently have a very busy clinical practice at three locations within the St. Louis metropolitan area. This position will be at a level commensurate with experience and requires a physician interested in multidisciplinary teamwork and dedication to teaching residents and fellows in a major academic clinical practice.

The Division of Bone and Mineral Diseases was established in 1975 with the foresight, leadership, and pioneering work of the late Louis V. Avioli, MD, one of the founding fathers of the field of bone and mineral diseases, laid the foundation of a unique, world-class center for research, training, and patient care dedicated to disorders of mineral and skeletal homeostasis.
As the clinical component of the Division, the Washington University Bone Health Program offers a comprehensive approach to diagnosing, treating, and preventing osteoporosis and many other skeletal disorders, including rare or genetic bone diseases, and calcium or phosphorus disorders. The program was established in the early 1990s and has since represented one of the premier programs in the U.S. with this mission.

The position requires a Professional Medical Degree and certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Internal Medicine/Family Medicine/Obstetrics and Gynecology or other recognized/relevant post graduate training. Background experience in metabolic bone disorders or related specialties, including endocrinology, rheumatology, and women’s health is desirable.
