General Radiologist - Phelps Health

The Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) through Washington University Regional Physicians seeks a Board Eligible/Certified full-time general radiologist with some experience in light interventional procedures at Phelps Health in Rolla, Missouri for its expanding Section of Washington University Regional Physicians/Community Radiology group.  This position will also have a courtesy faculty appointment with the Washington University School of Medicine.

Rolla, with a population of about 20,000, is located in Phelps County, which less than 100 miles from St. Louis, Columbia, and Springfield, Missouri.  Rolla is in close proximity to the Mark Twain National Forest, Maramec Spring Park and has been identified "101 Best Outdoor" towns with many springs, forests, and rivers.  Phelps County has 3 designated blue ribbon trout streams.  Check http://mdc.mo.gov/fishing/species/trout/trout-areas to learn about Missouri Trout fishing other outdoor activities!

Although we are based in St. Louis City, our community radiology section provides a broad range of advanced imaging procedures to hospitals and outpatient clinics serving St. Charles, St. Louis, and Phelps Counties. Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) is comprised of a large multi-specialty collaborative faculty and is one of the preeminent academic radiology departments in the nation.

We use disease-specific protocols, perform quality imaging exams and provide accurate and in-depth interpretations. Not all imaging centers and radiologists are alike. We provide pediatric and adult radiologic services.

Qualified applicants should have a diverse diagnostic skillset appropriate for our dynamic and growing practice. Desirable attributes include the ability to read emergency department cases, mammography, and general invasive procedures including CT/ultrasound biopsies, myelograms, etc. Fellowship training in abdominal imaging is highly recommended.

General Radiologist experience ideally with basic interventional skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Salary up $600,000 annually, which includes a geographic differential.
