Assistant Professor - Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
The Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Washington University, St. Louis, invites applications for a full-time faculty position within the division. We are specifically seeking an individual who wishes to maintain a broad scope of practice with a specialized interest in general reconstructive surgery, including Microsurgery. The position may be either tenure or clinical (non-tenure) track dependent upon the individual's qualifications and goals. The surgeon will be based at the Barnes Jewish Medical Center, the primary site practice, but may also expect to spend time at nearby affiliate hospitals as the reconstructive practices grow across the region.
The candidate must be a graduate of an ACGME accredited Plastic Surgery training program and must be fellowship trained in Microsurgery, ideally with experience in lymphatic surgery. Candidates must be board certified/eligible for Plastic Surgery. Candidates must be able to obtain both a Missouri and an llinois license.
Involvement with resident and medical student education and the pursuit of scholarly activities is expected. Divisional support for clinical, basic science, and translational research will be provided. Applicants will need to demonstrate practical interpersonal and communication skills and be committed to ongoing performance improvement.
