Infectious Disease Pre-Clinical Imaging Faculty
The Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (www.mir.wustl.edu) is seeking outstanding candidates to lead our newly developed Infectious Disease Pre-Clinical Imaging Program. A small-animal biosafety level 3 (ABSL3) imaging laboratory has been recently custom renovated to support this program. An MR Solutions 7-tesla MRI scanner has been delivered and will be installed in the ABSL3 lab by fall 2020. The imaging suite will be further enhanced by the planned addition of PET and optical imaging capabilities. The successful applicant will play a critical leadership role in advancing the institution’s basic and clinical infectious disease research efforts.
• PhD, MD or equivalent degree
• Demonstrated track record and expertise in infectious disease research
• Expertise in MRI, PET, and/or optical imaging
• Interest and experience in the development and application of infectious disease imaging tools
• Outstanding communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
