Neurointerventional Radiologist

The Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a Neurointerventional Radiologist (NIR) to join an academic group of fourteen diagnostic neuroradiology and four neurointerventional faculty members in the Neuroradiology Section.

 

Our neurointerventionalists are recognized world experts in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases through endovascular techniques for adult and pediatric patients. We have a busy and rapidly expanding clinical practice based at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level I Trauma Center. The endovascular suites are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. The section has an ACGME approved independent training pathway for 9 fellows in diagnostic and 2 in interventional neuroradiology.

Applicants should be ABR certified with either an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., fellowship trained in Diagnostic Neuroradiology and Neurointerventional Radiology, and Neuroradiology CAQ certified/eligible. The desired applicant should be able to perform a broad range of neurointerventional procedures including thrombectomy for stroke.  The ability to interpret diagnostic neuroimaging is highly desirable. The applicant should also have a background and interest in the pursuit of scientific or clinical research as demonstrated by both peer-reviewed publications and receipt of either industry or federal funding.
