Instructor of Medicine, Section of Medical Oncology
The Medical Oncology Section of the Oncology Division in the Department of Medicine of the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is seeking an individual with an doctorate degree plus clinical and/or research experience.
The candidate will be required to perform analysis of comprehensive whole genome, exome and transcriptome data generated using tumor samples. He/She will also perform analysis of single cell RNA sequencing and germline DNA.
The Oncology Division is devoted to preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. The Section of Medical Oncology treats patients with all types of solid tumor cancer. With a dedicated oncology unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and several conveniently located outpatient clinics in the St. Louis area, our physicians take care of over 20,000 patients each year.
- Bioinformatics experience
- Conversant with common and emerging software tools required for bioinformatics
- Desire to work as a team member collaborating with scientists and clinicians
