Interventional echocardiography experience is desirable.

The practice is supported by an extensive network of collaborative services, including cardiothoracic surgery, electrophysiology and arrhythmia management, interventional cardiology, cardio-oncology, adult congenital heart disease, high risk obstetrics/maternal cardiology, pulmonary hypertension, and advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation. The general cardiovascular disease fellowship trains nine fellows a year, and also has several fellows undergoing training via the physician-scientist training pathway. The Division supports a large number of clinical research investigations and clinical trials.

Washington University and St Louis are recognized nationally and internationally for research in medicine, science and biotechnology.  St. Louis offers four seasons with outstanding cultural and educational opportunities, and is a culturally diverse and family-oriented city.

The candidate should be an MD or MD/PhD with Level III echocardiography training and considerable experience in all modalities of echocardiography. Proficiency in TEE guidance during transcatheter valve therapies is highly desirable.
