Assistant Professor - Researcher
Assistant Professor at Washington University in St. Louis. Position located in St. Louis, MO. Perform research & analysis and work with highly dimensional data including GWAS, exome-chip, whole genome, exome sequencing, RNA-sequencing, methylation BeadChip, proteomics (Rules Based Medicine); quantitative biomarker and clinical longitudinal data.
Requires: PhD (genetics, statistical genetics, bioinformatics, computational biology, machine learning or related) & 4 year exp.
Must have experience with: PLINK, SKAT-O, and next-generation sequencing (Whole Genome and Whole Exome Sequencing) analyses (samtools; bcftools; Picard; BWA-GATK).; RNA-sequencing (Tuxedo Protocol;htseq-count;DESeq2/ EdgeR/limma;Salmon/Kallisto WGNCA); machine learning expertise including the employment of supervised (decision/regression trees, Random Forests, Support Vector Machines); unsupervised learning methods (hierarchical clustering, kneans, principal component analysis, non-negative matrix factorization, and latent variable analysis); software development for data processing tools (e.g. UNIX shell programing, Perl, Python, java and awk); software development for statistical computing (R, Python NumPy/SciPy), cluster processing (e.g. PBS) and experience; software development using relational and document-oriented databases (e.g. mysql; mongoDB) and digital deconvolution methods (CellMix, Cibersort).
