The Pain Center in the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine invites applications for a research-track junior faculty position at the level of Instructor. The ideal candidate has five or more years of post-graduate training in opioid pharmacology, imaging, optogenetics and chemogenetics. Expertise in pain physiology, opioid tolerance, dependence, and abuse liability are critical. Successful candidates will have a strong publication history and be able to demonstrate the ability to successfully compete for external funding. Proficiency in optogenetics, biochemistry, immunohistochemistry, and behavioral pharmacology are prerequisites. Additional information about the Pain Center is available at pain.wustl.edu.
