Anesthesiologist - Critical Care Medicine

The Anesthesiology Department is seeking a qualified individual to join a multidisciplinary group of intensivists in the Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine (ACCM) Division. A permanent position is available in ACCM at the initial appointment level of Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor.  The position will include a balance of clinical time in critical care practice and either anesthesia care in the operating rooms or the emergency department as appropriate to the interest and training of the qualified candidate.  Academic interest in clinical research, education, leadership and administration are encouraged and will be supported with non-clinical time, mentoring and opportunities for advanced training to match the interests of the applicant. Strengths of the program include vibrant programs in both clinical and basic science research, with strong extramural funding and training opportunities, strong training programs including a large highly sought-after multidisciplinary critical care training program, integration of advanced-practice providers and an acute care nurse practitioner program into the clinical critical care practice, and recent incorporation of an ICU telemedicine program to support academic and community critical care practice, and to provide programmatic support for quality improvement projects as well as other novel explorations in critical care.
