Successful candidate will have designed and used sequence-based analytical pipelines, with major focus on microbial genomics, and RNA sequence enumeration from humans, animal models, and in vitro system. Candidate will also have used metagenomic sequence analysis to identify metabolic pathways. Applicants will also be expected to have participated in, and ideally designed and then interpreted the resulting data, from animal and/or in vitro mechanistic studies. It is expected that applicants will be able to draft and edit proposals to committees (e.g., animal care and use committee, IRB), communicate with internal and external collaborators, and be heavily engaged in experimental protocol development. Knowledge of new and emerging statistical tools with which to analyze data is also important.
Ph.D. in a relevant field of biology and/or computational science. Post-doctoral experience that emphasizes empiric testing of hypothesis.
