Associate Director

The Department of Molecular Microbiology is recruiting an Associate Director for a project on therapeutic antibodies and vaccines against prototype pathogens. The Associate Director will report directly to Dr. Sean Whelan (WUSM) and co-directors Rino Rapouli and Anne Moscona. The responsibilities of the Associate Director will include working with the Director to:

      Facilitate Go/No-Go decision making in each project and core.

      Coordinate meetings for the 4 projects and 4 cores monthly.

      Establish and maintain a Scientific Advisory Board (SAB).

      Foster interactions between team members.

      Facilitate exchange of reagents and data.

      Assist with pipeline to product development.

      Ensure Financial accountability and regulatory compliance.

      Monitor and evaluate the center.

      Report on the progress to SAB and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

      Coordinate visits for R2P2 Projects & Cores, SAB, and NIAID

      Coordinate submission of papers.

      Maintain a center website.

 

 

Successful candidates will have experience in large project management, ideally in academic and industry settings. They will have exceptional communication and time-management skills and demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams.
