The International Anesthesiologists’ Program is an exciting opportunity for world renowned anesthesiologists to share their advanced clinical skills and unique experiences at one of the most successful and innovative anesthesiology programs in the U.S.
This thrilling venture promotes global teaching opportunities, advancing clinical experience and academic advancement by incorporating global talent to help advance the missions of the department.
International Anesthesiologists will function as faculty members in the department. Their responsibilities will primarily include teaching and supervising trainees in our expansive and diverse patient care environment. They will balance these duties with protected time for academic projects in the areas of education, quality improvement, or clinical or basic science research. International Anesthesiologists will also participate in the department’s education programs, including preparation of lectures, clinical conferences, journal clubs, or managing cases in the clinical simulation center.

Qualifications for this program include:
- At least 4+ years of training in clinical anesthesiology
- Board certification in anesthesiology in the applicant's home country
- Evidence of involvement in research, academic projects, quality improvement, or educational initiatives
- Advanced or unique clinical experience that enhances the missions of the department
- USMLEs desired but not required
- Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills
