Summary
The Department of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine invites applications and nominations for junior or mid-career faculty in the Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM). Faculty in the Division perform research in administrative data, epidemiology, ethics, global health, health behavior, health services, informatics, medical training, and outcomes research as detailed here: https://generalmedicinegeriatrics.wustl.edu/research/research-faculty/.
Washington University seeks to recruit faculty with expertise in one or more of these areas.
Faculty members’ primary responsibility will be to conduct research supported primarily by extramural grants. Additional effort will be spent on other activities: teaching, mentorship, or clinical care at Barnes Jewish Hospital. Candidates should hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent doctorate and should be an Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine.
Successful candidates will have training in health services research, decision sciences, epidemiology, research ethics, informatics, or other areas relevant to our broad research mission. Washington University is expanding its programs in health services and outcomes research, as well as in public health, presenting opportunities for researchers who can take advantage of existing institutional strengths.
We are seeking outstanding senior or mid-career investigators with established records of funding and impactful publications.
