The Division of Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine is seeking applicants for faculty positions. Candidates should be board certified/eligible in General Pediatrics and need not be certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine. PHM faculty are clinician educators at the main academic center and community hospitals within the metro St. Louis area. These hospitals are St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Progress West Hospital, Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Barnes Jewish Hospital, Memorial Hospital-Belleville and Memorial Hospital-East, and any other current or future contracted facilities. We are recruiting for all ranks Instructors/Assistant Professors/ Associate Professors/Professors.
Washington University School of Medicine ranks among the top medical schools in the country, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital is nationally recognized as a leader in pediatric healthcare. The 455-bed pediatric hospital includes a 77 bed pediatric ICU, and a 150 bed neonatal ICU. The hospital offers comprehensive services in every pediatric and medical subspecialty, serving a diverse patient population in the St. Louis metropolitan area and primary service region covering six states. The Pediatric Hospitalist division covers a variety of services at St. Louis Children’s hospital including the general inpatient unit, ambulatory procedure center, after-hours sedation service and the pediatric ambulatory wound service. At our partner hospitals Missouri Baptist Medical Center and Progress West Hospital in Missouri, and Memorial Hospitals in Illinois, our division covers primarily the newborn services and emergency unit. Also at Barnes Jewish Hospital, we cover the well-baby nursery.
