Assistant Professor Position in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
The Department of Neuroscience and the Department of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine is currently recruiting an outstanding collaborative investigator in the field of magnetic resonance imaging in animals. Research in the Department of Neuroscience is housed largely in the new 600,000 sq ft purpose-built Neuroscience Research Building. Research in the Department of Radiology is housed largely in the Mallinckrodt Institute for Radiology, internationally renowned for its innovations in functional and structural MRI, PET and biophotonics.
We are now seeking a research-track investigator at the level of Assistant Professor to develop a thriving collaborative research program in MRI project design and analysis to hold a joint appointment between the Departments of Neuroscience and Radiology at Washington University.

Applicants should have a strong background in physics, engineering, neuroscience or a related field and hold a PhD. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in multi-modal MRI analysis in neuroscience with expertise in small and large animal imaging, including imaging of non-human primates (macaque and marmoset) and rodents. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both structural and functional MRI, and in applying and developing the most up-to-date techniques to data analysis. The candidate will work across both Departments, forming strong collaborations and fostering new projects between Neuroscience and Radiology. We are particularly interested in outstanding researchers who are both creative and collaborative with experience in hypothesis-driven research.
