Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine is currently recruiting Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our growing academic faculty.  The Department has a well-established four-year residency program and fellowships in Critical Care Medicine, Education, EMS, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Research, Toxicology, and Ultrasound.  The Department is seeking physicians who are board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine at the Associate Professor level, who can contribute to our clinical, education, and research missions.  Our physicians work at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, St. Louis Children's Hospital and Missouri Baptist Medical CenterRank at hire shall commensurate with experience per the WUSM Faculty Affairs Policies and Procedures.

Essential Functions

Clinical responsibilities will include patient care in the emergency department at two of our four hospitals (Barnes Jewish Hospital, Barnes Jewish West County Hospital, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and Missouri Baptist Medical Center). Our department faculty consists of 80 board-certified emergency medicine physicians with broad scholarly interests and extramural funding. 

This position requires a Professional Medical Degree, or foreign equivalent, completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency program, a State of Missouri license, DEA license, and BNDD by the commencement of your appointment.
