Clinical Director, Hermann Center for Child and Family Development

The Clinical Director of The Hermann Center will support the Executive Co-Directors by implementing and directing clinical operations to ensure exceptional medical quality and services being delivered to patients. This is a shared position representing focused leadership that will assist with innovation of clinical interventions and treatments.

The Clinical Director will be responsible for the overall management of the clinical and administrative functions of the clinical programs within The Hermann Center, in line with all professional, funder, government, and population practice guidelines and standards.

The position is ideal for an MD/DO or PH.D with existing early intervention experience who seeks a new, transformational opportunity in child mental health. 

The position reports directly to the Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Executive Co-Director of the Hermann Center, Cynthia Rogers, M.D. and Executive Co-Director of the Hermann Center Joan Luby, M.D.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Supervises and mentors all clinical staff activities, which includes monitoring groups, individual therapy, and charting to maintain the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.
  • Participates in the recruitment and interview process for clinical staff.
  • Functions as Leader of multi-disciplinary Clinical Treatment Team.
  • Evaluates quality of program on an ongoing basis and develops cost-effective methods to provide services.
  • Stay apprised of Washington University School of Medicine and SLCH policies and operations.
  • Adheres to the mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures of the Hermann Center for Child and Family Development.

Qualified candidates will possess a MD, PhD, or DO degree.  MD or DO candidates will hold or be eligible for an unrestricted license to clinically practice medicine in the State of Missouri.  M.D. candidates should be certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) in Psychiatry, and Child Psychiatry. The applicant should have at least ten years of clinical experience in early child intervention and prevention.
