Section Director of HIV and Clinical Virology

The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis seeks a faculty leader with experience in clinical aspects of HIV infection and/or Hepatitis C and/or Clinical Virology as director of the HIV and Clinical Virology group within the Division.   The appointee would be expected to contribute to the research, clinical, and educational activities of the Division with respect to HIV and Clinical Virology. 

 

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent in medicine, with board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and possess or be capable of obtaining a State of Missouri Medical License.  In addition, the candidate must have sufficient experience and scholarly activity in HIV and Clinical Virology to lead and manage a successful HIV and Clinical Virology group.  In particular, the successful candidate should be able to develop a strategy to educate and train fellows interested in HIV and other viral infections, to mentor and support junior faculty, to establish a program of research and scholarship based on local research opportunities and to participate in the management and strategic direction of the Division.
