Assistant Professor

Assistant Professor of Surgery (Public Health Sciences)

Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in the Division of Public Health Sciences in the Dept. of Surgery at the School of Medicine. This position is in St. Louis, MO.

The successful candidate will undertake scholarly and research responsibilities, including providing instructional activities, lectures, research mentorship and developing learning sessions in biostatistics for graduate public health and medical school students, residents and fellows in the area of cancer research (prevention and control) through biostatistics collaborations; serve as biostatistician on ongoing projects, such as SPOREs and team science applications, at the Siteman Cancer Center to further cancer research in conjunction with investigators across the cancer care continuum; publish high quality research in peer-reviewed journals; and contribute service to the school. Domestic travel required up to 10% for scientific exchange at conferences.

Ph.D. degree in statistics, biostatistics or a closely related field.
