Faculty Position - Division of Clinical Research

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Clinical Research invites applications for a full-time, research-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor.

The successful candidate will undertake scholarly and research activities in the area of preterm birth prediction, prevention, and maternal and fetal health, including providing instruction and training to clinical fellows, postdoctoral fellows, undergraduate and graduate students to teach the statistical models and analyses of datasets used to analyze and predict preterm birth and maternal/fetal health, including big data; provide instruction on best practices for data processing, data management, storage and data application. This position will also instruct trainees on the design of clinical and basic research studies and serve as an expert on data visualization. 

Prospective candidates will contribute to various academic engagements such as the CRepHS Seminar Series, and participate in committees and working groups. Additional duties include developing an independent research program, submitting research grant proposals, submitting manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals; serving on mentoring committees and contributing service to the school, and other duties as assigned.

Domestic and international travel required up to 10% for participation in scientific conferences. Position allows for occasional telecommuting within commuting distance of reporting office in St. Louis, Missouri.

 

 

A Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Physics, Biostatistics or a closely related field is required.
