The Departments of Cell Biology and Physiology (CB&P) and Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics (BMB) at Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis invite applications for new faculty positions.  Primary appointments will be on the tenure-track within the department of Cell Biology and Physiology (http://cellbiology.wustl.edu/), or the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics (http://biochem.wustl.edu/), at the Assistant Professor level.  The successful applicants will be expected to develop a state-of-the-art research program and carry out teaching activities in areas related to their expertise.

The departments are interested in bringing in a number of cancer biology candidates for these positions who are focused on metabolomics, RNA biology, the local and systemic tumor microenvironment, and the biology underlying therapy-induced comorbidities. The departments are strongly connected to the interdepartmental research centers, including the top ranked Siteman Cancer Center (http://siteman.wustl.edu/research/research-programs/) which bring basic and clinical researchers together in a multidisciplinary and translational research environment, to unravel fundamental disease mechanisms and to explore novel therapeutic and treatment strategies.  Applicants will have access to the extensive Siteman research cores and the Siteman Investment Program to support innovative science, and clinical researchers in both liquid and solid cancers.

Applications will be considered from individuals holding a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degrees, and having relevant research experience.

Please submit the following required documents in PDF format (letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and a short three-page statement of current and proposed research programs) addressed to CB&P and BMB Search Committee.  In addition, applicants will be asked to enter the names and contact information for three referees who will provide letters of recommendation on their behalf.

Note:  Applications will be considered through December 1, 2022.
