Vice Chair, Community Radiology, Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology

In this position, you will provide oversight and strategic/operational direction for the community radiology practice of the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology working closely with MIR and community hospital leadership teams to assure appropriate services are delivered, as well as, ensuring appropriate staffing and physical resources are available to deliver clinical services.

This position provides oversight to 4 hospitals staffed by MIR physicians and currently receives direct reports from the service chiefs at Barnes St. Peters and Progress West, Christian Hospital and Northwest HealthCare, and Phelps Health.  This position has a direct reporting relationship to the Senior Vice Chair for the Diagnostic Radiology Division. 
  

The position requires at least 5 years of practice experience ideally with leadership of groups of radiologists.  The ideal candidate will be very familiar with all operational aspects of radiology in the community setting including quality and safety and peer review/learning.   The appropriate candidate will be an MD with board certification in diagnostic radiology.  It is expected that approximately 40% of time will be spent in administrative activities and 60% in clinical activities.  Academic rank will be dependent on qualifications.
