The Division of Academic Pediatrics at Washington University and St Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking a BC/BE pediatrician to join our division to provide comprehensive, coordinated care to children within our General Pediatrics Clinic. The patient population includes children and adolescents from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.  Responsibilities include providing primary care to children and adolescents.  Supervision and teaching of residents and medical students and participation in ongoing projects to improve our clinical service, including quality improvement initiatives.  The Academic Pediatrics Division at Washington University was created in July 2019 with the goal of uniting several traditionally smaller programs under an umbrella that would; leverage shared resources whilst bringing to the community needed pediatric services, foster collaboration in academic pursuits, and create and develop new and better ways to serve the respective patient populations in each specialty.

The hospital provides a full range of pediatric services to the St. Louis metropolitan area and a primary service region covering six states. As the pediatric teaching hospital for the Washington University School of Medicine, the hospital offers national recognized programs for physician training and research. SLCH offers comprehensive services in every pediatric medical and surgical specialty.

We are particularly interested in applicants who:

  • Are board certified in General Pediatrics, possess outstanding clinical skills and have experience caring for children and adolescents. 
  • Collaborate well with families and multidisciplinary team members, including nurses, therapists, dietitians and social workers who assist with the care of our patients
