Working with investigators of α1-antitrypsin deficiency liver disease. Major responsibilities will be to conduct basic and translational research within the Department of Pediatrics and ensure that the laboratory remains in compliance with all WUSM, State and Federal regulations. Other responsibilities might include, but are not limited to, supervising and mentoring of post-doctoral research fellows, residents, graduate students, undergraduates and technicians that enter the laboratory. This responsibility includes the data oversight and the maintenance of laboratory notebooks, reagents and archives. Investigator is encouraged to apply for extramural grant support in consultation with faculty mentors. As time permits, may provide lectures for graduate and undergraduate courses and serve on mentoring committees.
