Neuroradiologist (Physician-Scientist)

The Neuroradiology Section of Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri seeks a full-time physician-scientist neuroradiologist to join a distinguished and diverse group of fifteen fulltime diagnostic neuroradiology and three neurointerventional faculty. The faculty in this section are internationally recognized experts in central nervous system imaging of adult and pediatric patients. The section also has an ACGME-approved independent training pathway for ten diagnostic and two neurointerventional fellows. 

 

The Neuroradiology Section offers a nurturing clinical and academic environment that maintains a tradition of excellence in clinical service, innovative education, and cutting-edge research in brain, head, neck and spine neuroimaging. As a world renowned research institution, our neuroimaging researchers have access to the most advanced imaging technologies, and are highly productive and collaborative across disciplines.  The applicant will join a thriving neuroscience research community.  A new state-of-the-art Neuroscience Research Building is currently under constructed and slated to open in 2023.

Applicants should be ABR certified or board eligible and fellowship trained in Neuroradiology at the time of appointment.  In addition, the applicant should demonstrate a deep commitment to clinical and research excellence.  The desired applicant should have an exceptional neuroscience background and strong interest in the pursuit of scientific research as demonstrated by research awards, peer-reviewed publications and receipt of NIH funding.
