Faculty Position, Division of Family Planning

Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, a nationally recognized medical school, is seeking a faculty member at the Assistant Professor level in the clinician educator track for the Division of Family Planning.  The Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Washington University is top ranked with extensive clinical and basic science research. The Division has a well-established Complex Family Planning Fellowship and Ryan Residency Training Program. Family Planning Division members are active in patient care, clinical research, and medical student, resident, and fellow education. Applicants must have an M.D or D.O. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Candidate must be board certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and have completed fellowship training in Complex Family Planning.  Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience.

Candidates are expected to be actively involved in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. Clinical responsibilities will include coverage of the
inpatient hospital-based family planning service, abortion services at Hope Clinic for Women and Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region, and complex contraception clinic. Willingness to travel to provide care at underserved abortion clinics in the Midwest is preferred. Other clinical responsibilities in the Department include coverage of the resident OB/GYN clinics, outpatient gynecology clinics, gynecologic surgery, and the inpatient benign gynecology service.  Clinical research opportunities are available.
