Adult Sleep and Dementia Faculty
The Department of Neurology at Washington University in St. Louis seeks an Academic Sleep and Dementia faculty (MD or MD/PhD) for a position at the Instructor level in the Adult Sleep Medicine Section. The candidate must be BC/BE and have 1 years of fellowship training in sleep medicine and memory disorders. The Washington University Multidisciplinary Sleep Medicine Center is a 12 bed sleep lab accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine with specialists in neurology, pulmonary, internal medicine, and pediatric neurology. The program is active in all aspects of sleep medicine, including comprehensive medical and surgical diagnostic and treatment approaches. Clinical duties will include outpatient sleep medicine and memory disorders clinic and interpretation of polysomnograms, multiple sleep latency tests, and home sleep apnea tests. Educational responsibilities will involve the teaching and supervision of sleep technologists, medical students, residents, and fellows in the inpatient and outpatient setting, as well as in didactic teaching sessions. There are also opportunities for translational and clinical research within the Adult Sleep Medicine Section and collaborations within the Department of Neurology.
