Faculty (Full Time), Spine Division, WUSM, Orthopaedic Surgery

Washington University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible spine physician to join our high-volume spine service.  Clinical responsibilities of this positon include developing a full-time academic clinical practice. Responsibilities will include active participation in and commitment to orthopaedic fellow and resident education including clinical training, teaching and participating in conferences, journal clubs and related activities. Candidate will perform research, working with our research coordinators who have a long history of contribution and focus on treatment strategies and outcomes for spine-related diseases.

Spine specialists with Washington University Orthopaedics are nationally and internationally renowned for treating adult and pediatric patients from around the world with a wide range of spinal diseases and conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.

Combining the best in both inpatient treatment and outpatient care and rehabilitation, our practice is nationally-recognized for outstanding orthopaedic care and innovative research. The practice is ranked among the best orthopaedic practices and holds the distinction of being listed on the Honor Roll by U.S. News & World Report. Affiliated with Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, and St. Louis Children's Hospital, we have the unique ability to offer inpatient treatment for most challenging cases within a top-10 academic medical center, as well as outpatient surgery and care in a new, state-of-the-art orthopaedics center located in west St. Louis County. In addition, we provide pediatric and adolescent orthopaedic services at Shriners Hospital for Children in St. Louis. We are the "practice of choice" for professional sports teams in St. Louis, including the Blues hockey team. We also serve as team physicians for all of the Washington University athletic teams.

All applicants must have completed a spine fellowship training program and be board-certified or eligible. Must be eligible to obtain a permanent Missouri medical license.
