Center for Brain Immunology and Glia (BIG) together with the Departments of Pathology and Immunology, Neurology, Neuroscience, and Neurosurgery at Washington University School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position.
A newly formed Center for Brain Immunology and Glia (BIG) is seeking exceptional PhD, MD/PhD, or MD candidates in basic and/or translational neuroimmunology or glia biology. This is an open call and candidates in all areas of neuroimmunology/glia are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will become integrated in the university’s immunology and neuroscience communities that feature highly successful members, a collaborative atmosphere, and broad research interests. The Center is associated with several highly ranked graduate Programs. The BIG Center is located in the newly constructed 1st floor of the Couch building. The successful candidate will enjoy access to Center’s shared equipment and expertise, as well as to specialized centers and state-of-the-art cores throughout the school of medicine.
Applicants should submit a CV, ½ page description of their one most important paper to date highlighting the novelty of the findings (accepted, published or BioRxiv deposited papers only), 2 page research statement, and the names/contact information of 3 references.
