Pediatric Cardiology Echo Attending #1010467

The Heart Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and the Washington University School of Medicine is recruiting a pediatric cardiologist with expertise in non-invasive imaging at the assistant to associate professor level.  The desired candidate will have completed three (3) years of fellowship in pediatric cardiology with an additional year of training in advanced cardiac imaging.

 

This individual will join the Division of Pediatric Cardiology and should be board eligible or certified in pediatric cardiology with additional training in echocardiography.

 

The successful candidate will join a group of pediatric cardiologist to provide imaging support for a very active clinical program performing over 11,000 echocardiograms per year. Requisite skills include interpretation of transthoracic, transesophageal and fetal echocardiograms. Performance and interpretation of 3D echo is desirable but not mandatory. Interest and performance of imaging research is also desired.

 

St Louis Children’s Hospital is one of the premier children’s hospitals in the country. The Heart Center has very active and robust surgical, transplant, interventional, and electrophysiology programs. There are 38 beds within the Heart Center caring for a wide range of very complex cardiac patients. In addition, we have very active outreach clinics and draw patients from throughout the Midwest as well as nationally.

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology consists of 27 faculty members in the fields of non-invasive imaging, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, advanced cardiac support and transplant, pulmonary hypertension, and basic science.  St. Louis is an affordable, family-friendly city, rich with history, cultural venues, sports, parks, and entertainment, offering an excellent quality of life.

 Salary, appointment, and academic support will be commensurate with qualifications.

The ideal candidate will be board eligible/certified in Pediatric Cardiology.  The candidate will have either advanced training or expertise in non-invasive imaging, particularly advanced imaging.
