The candidate will provide Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation services in individual and interdisciplinary clinics at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and at other locations where the Department of Pediatrics provides ambulatory services. In addition, the candidate will provide inpatient consultation services for St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

 

Opportunities

  • Opportunity to assist in the continued development and growth of inpatient and outpatient services including:
    • Active inpatient consult service
    • Multiple dedicated Rehab and multidisciplinary clinics
    • The development of dedicated inpatient rehab beds
    • Expanding the practice to Wash U locations outside of SLCH
  • No call or weekend coverage expected
  • Practitioners who potentially have interest in performing procedures in clinic, under sedation and at bedside on inpatient; including but not limited to:
    • Intramuscular botox and chemical alcohol injections
    • Salivary gland toxin injections
    • Intra-articular steroid injections and trigger point injections
    • Currently with access ultrasound, E-stim, and EMG guidance
    • Access to a team/department capable of expanding procedural practices
  • Our team has built a strong presence in the following management and are looking for both practitioners interested in continuing to grow these practices, and expand the team into new areas:
    • Cerebral Palsy management and spasticity management
    • Bracing, Equipment and wheelchairs
    • Pediatric Cancer Rehabilitation
    • Spinal cord injury
    • Sialorrhea management
    • Gait lab and gait analysis
  • Presence in the following Multidisciplinary Clinics:
    • Cerebral Palsy, Neuro-oncology, Skeletal Dysplasia, Spina Bifida
  • Academic program with opportunities for research, resident and student education, and interdisciplinary collaboration

Board eligible/certified in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine or Board eligible/certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pediatrics.
