Washington University’s Department of Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine is seeking a pediatric nephrologist at the faculty rank of Assistant Professor to join our growing and diverse academic faculty in St. Louis, Missouri. This role encompasses providing full-time patient care, primarily for children, who suffer from kidney or genito-urologic disorders, both acute and chronic. Candidates should have experience with all aspects of both nephrology and pheresis procedures.
The division has a thriving clinical program with a wide range of pathology and provides acute and chronic dialysis services, pheresis services and pre- and post-transplant care. Our school, department and division all have a long-standing track record of outstanding basic and clinical research. We are recognized for outstanding teaching to our sizeable pediatric residency program and have a long-standing ACGME approved Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship program. The division has consistently been listed in the US News and World Report top Pediatric Nephrology programs. Faculty members practice at Washington University clinics and at the attached St Louis Children’s Hospital (ranked in all 10 specialties in 2019 US News and World Report. The Wash U Medical Center campus is located next to the 1371 acre Forest Park, one of the largest public parks in the country. Compensation will be commensurate to rank and experience.
The greater St Louis area offers many hidden gems, including world class (and free) museums, numerous theaters, professional sports teams, and plentiful outdoor activities. St Louis has its own hallmark cuisine. Cost of living is very affordable
