Interventional Radiologist (Program Lead: Pediatric IR)
Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at the Washington University School of Medicine is seeking an individual who will lead the Pediatric IR Program within its Interventional Radiology Section. The academic IR group includes 16 faculty members, 6 physician assistants, 8 nurse coordinators and 3 medical/administrative assistants. Our department also has ACGME approved independent and integrated IR training pathways.
Established in 1987, our interventional radiology section is one of the largest and most comprehensive IR services in the nation. The section provides services to multiple BJC facilities including St. Louis Children's Hospital. The practice encompasses the full spectrum of adult and pediatric, vascular and nonvascular Interventional Radiology, performing more than 60,000 procedures each year. The individual’s practice location will be substantially located at our academic campus, which includes new patient-facing IR clinics in close proximity to the procedural areas. Our facilities are state of the art and will soon include a complete renovation of the Pediatric IR space.
The ideal candidate will be interested in actively expanding the Pediatric IR program through a combination of cutting-edge clinical care, teaching and research. Qualified applicants will hold a CAQ in Interventional Radiology and have experience leading multidisciplinary teams. Academic rank and tenure status will depend on qualifications and experience.
